Earlier today, Yoast crashed in a post when we inserted the FAQ module. I had to deactivate the main and premium plugin to fix this issue.

However, I had the “remove category prefix” option on. So the setting was reverted back to the original in the span of a couple of minutes until I reactivated the plugins.

But now quite a few category pages load some random article from the wbsite when you try to use the url.

For instance here’s a category page that works: https://www.zmescience.com/feature-post/space-astronomy/solar-system/

However, if you try to access “planets” it sends you to some random article about planets instead of a subcategory like this correct category page https://www.zmescience.com/feature-post/space-astronomy/solar-system/asteroids-meteors-comets/.

This issue is quite frustrating and I would appreciate some help to solve this ASAP.

Note: I’ve been a premium customer for more than 5 years.

I think I managed to solve this by turning the plugins on and off again and refreshing website cache.
