    Yoast SEO v 14.0.2 has broken another plugin, Heroic Knowledge Base Knowledge Base plugin for WordPress v2.19.0

    Is this a known issue? I needed to disable Yoast in order for the knowledge base to function properly.

    Not sure why it breaks the knowledge base, effectively makes it so heroic knowledge base doesn’t show anything on the website, the backend appears fine.

  • I, too have this issue:

    WP v5.4.1
    Yoast v14.0.4
    Heroic KB v2.19.0
    PHP 7.2.14

    The body text in KB article disappears when the Yoast plugin is active. I’ve disabled my Yoast plugin. I reported this to Hero Themes and they have had the same reports. They are looking into it at their end. Since I don’t have Yoast Premium, no direct access to Yoast tech support.

    Same issue here, I just reverted back to Yoast v13.5 for now.

    @devalexdev @64footdan @brianleejackson Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.     If the issue is still occurring after confirming both Yoast SEO and WordPress are updated, this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
    If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

    If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Good news, Heroic KB pushed out version 2.19.1 this morning and after testing I can confirm it fixes the issues with Yoast 14.0.4, where KBs disappeared.

    @brianleejackson Yes, I had a note from them this morning regarding the same. I’ll test here shortly as well. They had previously sent me a code snippet which worked in the interim.

    “An update on the Yoast SEO plugin compatibility for you.

    It appears this issue was introduced in Yoast SEO 14, they did a fair bit of work, but it looks like it also broke the Heroic Knowledge Base compatibility templates.

    We have a shiv in the pipeline, to workaround the issues with the update.

    In the meantime, you should be able to use this code snippet to fix the issue. Let me know how that works for you.
