Yoast Breadcrumbs With Woocommerce

    Hi there –

    I followed the instructions for using Yoast Breadcrumbs with Woocommerce, see.

    The Yoast breadcrumbs are appearing along with products preferred category (Each of our products are in two categories). But after implementing it, I noticed that the breadcrumbs for regular pages have been removed. Second, looking at the breadcrumb trail for products, the breadcrumb includes the Shop page

    For example, Home ? Products ? Main Category ? Subcategory ? Products Name

    The 2nd item in the breadcrumb, Products, is the Shop Page. How can we remove the Products (Shop Page) in the breadcrumb?

    We are using Yoast Version 7.1. Theme is Woocommerce Homestore 2.0.23. Woocommerce plugin is version 3.3.5

    @tims-1 There are several filters that allows you to modify the breadcrumbs including wp_seo_get_bc_title and wp_seo_get_bc_ancestors and you can view more information on these here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/api/

    @devnihil – Thanks for that info. For the first item, “I noticed that the breadcrumbs for regular pages have been removed.” Any idea whats causing Yoast to remove the breadcrumbs on regular pages? Thanks!

    Please, make sure that you have implemented the Yoast SEO provided breadcrumbs code correctly to either your header.php or single.php or page.php correctly to ensure the breadcrumbs can appear in all pages.
