    Hi,

    i haven’t checked Yoast in a while,

but today i wanted to changed some things on a Page and it turns out the Yoast backend menus don’t expand anymore making them unusable.

Note that somehow it works perfectly fine for Posts…?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

The plugin does not automatically run a conflict check. Instead, it provides you with the option to enter a troubleshooting mode and run the conflict check without affecting the visitors to your site.

Please follow the steps in this article: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

    Hi,

I have proceded as per the instructions,

if i try the yoast seo plugin alone it works fine, but if i try it in combination with ANY other plugins by enabling them one by one, sooner or later i have the message:

“When enabling the plugin, wordpress-seo (<- it’s yoast), a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted” which makes it hard to try to reproduce the issue.

but sometimes this message appears for pretty much any plugin depending on the order in which i activate them.

Therefore it seems impossible to pinpoint it to the theme or any other plugin.

However i literally cannot extend the dropdowns of yoast in the backend of the pages.

@bookfinder If the issue doesn’t occur with only the Yoast SEO plugin active, this does indicate that it’s likely caused by a conflict. It’s also possible it may be conflicting with more than one plugin which is why you are seeing this behavior. We’d first recommend to ensure that all of your plugins/themes are up to date and using the most current version. Also, if the issue is only occurring on pages and not posts, you might try to isolate which plugins are only active on pages to further help determine which plugins are causing the issue.
