Hi – Everybody loves a bargain, right? Nobody likes a scam. So that is why I am asking about a site I found offering Yoast SEO Premium for a *really* good price. As in $5.99 (90% off). Sounds too good to be true. Is it?

Thanks for any info you can offer!

    Hello @boardboss!

They are reselling an identical version (or modified, as we have no control over it) of Yoast SEO Premium. Our plugins, along with the WordPress platform, are released under the GNU General Public License or GPL for short. The terms of the license allow the user the freedom to use, change, copy, or redistribute the plugin under the same license. Therefore, our products can legally be included on other websites. That being said, you take a gamble on the authenticity of the code you receive when purchasing from someone else as the GPL license allows the user to modify the code. Also, if you purchase our products from them, we cannot provide updates or support the same way as purchasing a premium plugin directly from our site. Please contact them directly should you have any concerns or issues with your purchase.

If you want to purchase an authentic version of Yoast SEO Premium which comes with free updates and personal support, you can do so here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/`

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. I figured it was something like that. I never mind paying for quality solutions. We have a lot of small clients who have niche sites, and the actual price for “genuine” Yoast is a bit too steep. Customers seem to be finding these sites okay as they are; however, we are trying to standardize on a set of plugins we use for most (if not all) clients. Yoast looks like it is a great solution, just a bit pricey for small sites. Cheers!
