The workaround is to install Yoast 9.1.

The previous version of course should be a temporary fix. This plugin is quite subject to violation so it is really important to keep it updated.

you have installed Guttenberg and this fix the issue?

In deed it is not ok to have the previous version and WPML will be out very soon and this was the fix for me.

There’s currently a reported bug between Yoast SEO 9.2 and WPML. The WPML developers have been informed about this and are currently working on releasing a fix. Their beta version has been tested to be working already so the official version should be released soon. The workaround for the meantime is either to switch to the Gutenberg editor OR to downgrade the plugin to an older version (9.1) which you can download here: https://we.tl/t-zVztzlfHTP.
