Yoast 8.1 Breaks Gutenberg

The Gutenberg editor no longer works with either the Premium or standard version of Yoast 8.1.
You can’t create or edit posts with Yoast activated. Attempting to do so produces an immediate error message:
“The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”
Along side the message are three buttons for Attempt Recovery, Copy Post Text, and Copy Error.
Deactivating Yoast 8.1 allows Gutenberg to function normally. Also, reverting back to Yoast 8.0 works as well. Unfortunately, there isn’t any way to revert back to a previous version with Yoast Premium unless you saved the earlier premium version somewhere when you downloaded it.

Same with non-premium version, error appears immediately when you choose “New Post”. Copy error produces more details. I’ve removed the site name and structure from the message.
