I’m still getting very high CPU usage due to Yoast what is going on with this plugin and if this continues will be dropping use of anything Yoast as this problem was said to be solved several versions back, we have the recommended 250 php memory but tests show obviously that the Yoast plugin is causing 90% of the usage and will break the site and do critical error. When is this going to be resolved?

  • Hi @adabob,

Thank you so much for reaching out.

I understand you are getting a critical error or the memory/CPU usage on the site is huge, but we’ll need more information to be able to investigate this.

Are you running the latest version of our plugin, as well as the latest WordPress version and other plugins and themes? Does your site/server meet our requirements?

Does the usage normalize after a while? Can you share the Site information under Tools > Site Health > Info (tab).

What I would recommend checking is if the CPU/memory usage is also off records in a normal environment, meaning only with Yoast SEO enabled. You can do so with the Health Check troubleshooting mode with the steps mentioned here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
