Yoast 14.6.1: Indexation got stuck

Can you confirm that your server meets the plugin minimum requirements? You can find your server details under Tools > Site Health > Info in the WordPress admin menu.

If so, resetting the SEO data may help. Please try the following steps on your site:

1. Install and activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
3. Click the “Reset indexables and migrations” button
4. Run the following wp cli command wp yoast index --reindex --skip-plugins or go to SEO > Tools and under SEO data, click the “Speed up your site” button.

Does the error still appear?

Yep, I may confirm that server meets all requirements. Also I’ve increased max execution time to 2 minutes, it doesn’t help.

Actually I have multisite installation, so it is exactly the same server and plugins.

Some sites have been indexed without any problems. Through web or cli – it doesn’t matter.

But 3 sites got stuck.

I’ve been tried Yoast Test Helper:

1. Indexation starts from the begining.
2. But got stuck on the same percentage of completion.

I’we tried web and cli indexation.

There are no any errors or messages in the PHP log.

Thanks for the information. It’s really strange to hear that this issue is only affecting some sites, but not others.

One thing to note when using multisite and WP-CLI, if you haven’t already, is that you’ll need to add the “url” argument to each command to specify which sub site you want to index. For example, --url=subsite.example.com or --url=example.com/subsite. Is this what you used?

If so, you can do a test to see if the indexation completes with all other plugins deactivated on the subsite and using a default WordPress theme. We recommend doing this on a staging site or using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin.

I’ve tested almost all combination:

* wp yoast index –url=subsite.example.com
* wp yoast index –url=subsite.example.com –network
* wp yoast index –url=subsite.example.com –network –reindex
* And so on

The result is the same.

Disabling plugins doesn’t help. It is exactly the same sites with the same setup of plugins and as I already told some sites was indexed without any issue.

@mahnunchik If the issue is still occurring on a staging site with all plugins disabled except Yoast and a default theme, we’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
