Yoast 14.0.2 is an unmitigated disaster. So many errors and fatal messages. There is very little technical information given on what this “indexable” update is all about, resulting in website owners unable to figure out what’s going on with this plugin.

Please go back to version 13.5 when everything is stable. Why update the plugin when it’s going to affect your rankings on Google? The new plugin crashes your site and screws up the SEO badly.

Should really just revert back to the previous stable versions. This update is unnecessary especially at a time like this.

Is what I get… even after reuploading plugin manually with FTP.

Totally agree, I will stick with version 13.5

Too bad they Don’t offer a lite version of the plugin because there is way too much unnecessary functionalities that start to make this plugin too heavy.

Agreed that this is an unmitigated disaster. I have about 14-15 sites still on v13 and will hold off for a while on doing anything. May switch to RankMath, may stick here – who knows yet.

I was lucky on about 5-6 sites that I did update to v14 – I did not take their suggestion to “SPEED UP” which is where all the issues seem to be. They should have been more transparent about the far-reaching effects of doing that.

@mrkawaii @darkallman @ulissse If you update to the most current version of Yoast SEO version 14.0.4, does this resolve the issue? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

After the last update I have no more issues!

@darkallman Thanks for confirming that the 14.0.4 update corrected the issue for you.

@mrkawaii @ulissse We’re really sorry for the difficulties you experienced with the plugin. We’ve been working hard to resolve all the issues that have been reported. You can read more about that in our blog post here: https://developer.yoast.com/blog/yoast-seo-14-0-x/

After updating to the 14.0.4 release of the plugin, you may need to run the indexation again via the Tools Tab in your Yoast SEO plugin. For sites with more than 10,000 posts, we advise using the WP CLI command to do the indexation on the server. You can read more about this here: https://yoa.st/wp-cli-index

If you cannot use the button, then you may need to:

      1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
      2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
      3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button
      4. Delete your current Yoast SEO installation.
      5. Reinstall Yoast SEO 14.0.4.
      6. Click the “Click here to speed up your site now” button.
