    Hello,
I already posted but the issue got marked as resolved when it wasn’t… can anyone help with this? or suggest how to downgrade to an earlier version of yoast?

Since upgrading to 12.8 (now 12.8.1) the metaboxes don’t display correctly. I can see the box Yoast SEO and the three subtitles below: seo, readability and social but when I click on them they don’t drop down and nothing happens.Basically they are there but don’t work. This happens for all our posts, custom posts, pages… everywhere..

I followed a possible solution on Github to mark as “show” in settings/search appearance. Nothing has happened as the boxes are there and are being displayed, just don’t function any more..
    Thank you!

  • I have the same problem on several sites. No metabox and it’s not possible to enter af focus keyword.

Had the same issue, no help or even ideas yet from the Yoast team. They thought it was javascript, but in fact it is not as there are no errors on the page. I had to drop down a version which has it’s own issues. Anyone try 12.9.1 since it went abruptly from 12.8.1 to 12.9 then 12.9.1?

I am weary to try as every time I enable yoast things go haywire.. now if yoeast is enabled i can’t switch from visual editor to text or viceversa…
Anyone knows how to downgrade? maybe to 12.7 or earlier

I had the same problem also on my site. The meta tags weren’t showing in post area to insert focus keyword and other stuffs.

But I have resolved the issue, by using a plugin in WordPress, called Rollback, I installed the plugin. Then, simply rolled back to version 2.8 and everything is cool now. Pending when they fix the problems.
