  • Nick it’s a common problem – I’ve seen this posted a lot in my research into why this does not work, if you, like me have an issue that does not get resolved by the standard response of “regenerating permalinks” i feel for ya as i have had no response on this forum or on the yith support forum that deviates from this standpoint. it’s resulted in my having to deactivate the plugin on both the sites i wanted to use it on.

twootton i really want to use this plugin in order to see if can work in to buy the pro version but i will have to look another solution

I am experiencing the same issue as described.
I went to dashboard > settings > permalink, saved it as it was but nothing happened… It’s exactly the same thing than before regenerated permalinks:
    – from homepage, I am redirected on mysite.com/wishlist/view/65KLMoI545 who doesn’t exist so the url is rewrited with the one of an article who begin with “view” !
    – and from the other pages of the site, I am redirected to the 404 page…

yes i think this is a bug that must be fixed because no matter how useful this plugin can be the SEO permalinks are ever more useful and important

I totally agree Nick i just wish there was some motivation from the developers to either fix the issue or work with the users to identify the specific problem rather than just suggesting we continually regenerate our permalinks, which we all know doesn’t work **sigh**

As support always reply with this regenerating permalinks solution, I was thinking maybe they know how to fix it but it is a way for them to make people buy the premium version of the plugin in which I hope the issue is fixed.

Anyway, I fixed it going into the plugin code and removing the “action” adding the /view particule, now it’s working fine but it is a tricky way to end up and I am not sure if it’s gonna be time valuable. Let me know if you need to know exactly how to do fix it.

    Hi guys

    sorry for the late response
I’m sorry “defaul” doesn’t work for you

Unfortunately “/view” is an endpoint (not a page), and needs to be added to rewrite rules before correctly working
It is used in premium too, so even this version wouldn’t work, I’m afraid

Saving again permalink, besides, is the easiest way to force WordPress generate rewrite rules once again

I’d like to help you, but it is very difficult as I cannot reproduce the same error on my side ??

In my experience, indeed, simply saving permalink brings back page to life
The only exceptions that I found, are for cache plugin, that may store wrong result, serving it constantly to users

Do you have cache plugin enabled over your installation, or some sort of server page cache?
    Please, let me know
    Have a nice day ??

    Hi,

I have disabled all plugins except woo commerce and the Wishlist plugin and have the same results, I use the flatsome theme but have changed back to the default 2016 theme and still experience the issue, I am running and ubuntu 14.04 LTS server with WordPress 4.6

    Regards

    Tim

    Hello,

At the time the error happened, no cache plugins were enabled.
I don’t know if it can come from the server cache as I am in dev env.

i will like to help you fix this YITH, i have many plugins activated but not a cache plugin, my guess was that when you use permalinks in the form of page/post.html the view particle not work anymore, besides i use the plugin add any extension to page so the pages have the same rewrite rule

    Hello Nick
Could you explain a little bit more what you think about how to fix it?

    Thread Starter nick7268

    (@nick7268)

well the wishlist is a page that is semi dinamicly generated the view and the id page parameters work in raw php but when we apply permalinks we apply a rewrite rule so this view and id must be integrated in the rewrite rule in the form page.html&viewpageid=xxxxxx

So you suggest to modify .htaccess file or to change settings in Settings > Permalinks :

    Permalinks settings
