YITH Wishlist Formats Very Ugly Now

  • Reproducing error:

    -Add items to wishlist
    -Go to Wishlist page

    What’s happening: product column names display vertically, button displays literal string markup code, data table is very long horizontally, and there are duplicate social media icons.

    Example:

    And add to cart button is now labeled: “<span class=”btn-text”>Add to Cart</span><div class=”tooltip”>Add to Cart</div>”

    And the table and button are overflowing off the wishlist page / it’s very long horizontally and get’s cut off with no scrolling available.

    Let’s proceed step by step:

    1. Appearance issue
    I’m afraid that this is something that has to do with the appearance of your specific theme: wishlsit table has very basic style, and should appear just as cart table

    If you share with us an url where I can check the problem, anyway, I will be glad to suggest some CSS rules to apply to your pages, to improve wishlist appearance

    2. Add to Cart label
    I’m not sure I can see the issue; “Add to Cart” label can be changed from WP Dashboard -> YITH -> Wishlist -> Wishlist page options

    3. Duplicated social media
    This could be related to templates overridden inside your theme folder; could you please search for wishlist.php or wishlist-view.php files inside your theme folder or /woocommerce subdirectory inside your theme folder, and rename them to wishlist.php.bak or wislsit-view.php.bak, to see if this solves the issue?

    Thanks for your reply, I tested what you said and it is due to the theme I am using, which is UX Shop. I switched to Galleria and everything looked just fine again for that theme. This sucks I paid a lot of money for UX Shop.

    Is there anything you could help recommend?

    Unfortunately themes cannot provide style for any existing plugin
    Anyway, maybe you could try to contact theme support and ask for their help with style of wishlist page
    Many theme developers are happy to provide support to third party plugins, if they have a good user base

    Another option would would be to share here link to your wishist page, and see if us or someone from the community can provide help with some custom style
