YITH Vendor page issues

    Testing if I could take your plugin into use (had some issues with translations etc that now seem to be fixed). Only found one remaining issue, the picture on the YITH Vendor shop page (see linked page) is not picked up, instead the site-wide default is used. Also your plugin per-post image settings box does not show on the page to edit the Vendor Shop page settings (yes, it is not disabled in the Screen Options, it does not show in the screen options).

  • We are not familiar with “YITH Vendor”. What is the plugin exactly?

    Is “YITH Vendor” a Custom Post Type? We only show the metabox for “public” and “publicly_queryable” CPTs. Maybe that’s the problem.

    As far as we can see from your HTML code, that page is technically an “archive page”: https://snag.gy/V4e6Zh.jpg

    You have to use the fb_og_image filter in order to check if you are on a vendor page (archive) and then get the image from the vendor settings and returning it.

    This is specific to that plugin and a developer level thing.

    I’m sorry but I do not understand your second answer? How do I use the fb_og_image filter in this case? I have set all options in the in this setting: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8iavnlsk6iynw7p/og_settings.JPG?dl=0 but it does not find the image on the page?

    A filter is something you can hook into using PHP code to change something. In this case, the og:image.

    If you’re not familiar with PHP code, you should hire someone do this for you.
