Yith Gift card categories are multiplying itself unexpectedly

  • There is some weird behavior with Yith gift card categories. Since some days they have begun to multiply themselves. (I know this seems to be a joke). Yesterday there were 600, and now there are 1000. I only have one gift card + the translation of the card. This problem appeared after I translated this one with WPML. Someone could help me please? I don’t know where to search for a solution.

    I am sorry to tell you, but this problem is not solved.
    Yes, the categories stopped multiplying after the update.

    The old list of 2000 categories was still there. But after I definitely removed all categories page by page today, which was a lot of work, and after I changed the product text of my one gift card, suddenly 1598 (!) new categories appeared with the same names: ‘none’, and one with ‘all’.

    There is another annoying issue with this: the categories field, which I hided, leaves a very large white gap on top of my admin screen, so I always have to scroll to the bottom to see anything.

    Actually I have only one gift card and I don’t need any category.
    Is there a way to stop this, for example removing the whole gift card category functionality by adding some code?
