Yet another navbar issue

I have spent most of the day installing and uninstalling plugins that would allow me to have a drop down menu from my existing navigation bar – https://www.feeltheword.net/magazine/
I have tried the wordpress navigation list plugin but cannot seem to get the pages to show up as items in the drop down menu.

I will not be using posts on the site only pages and wish to hard code a drop down list onto the existing buttons. If anyone knows how I can do this I would be extremely appreciative.
