I’ve created a test WP site at https://www.5gl.net/wordpress before moving it to the live site. It works perfectly in Firefox but in IE the sidebar is displaced under the content area. I’ve read other posts on this issue but even if I completely remove the contents of the post it still occurs. I’ve also tried removing the top banner and increasing the number of posts to 999 but no joy.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Interesting to find this post now. I’ve had my blog live now for several months and after making 2 small posts yesterday, all was well until this afternoon when I too saw what you just described, on my site as well.

From reading other posts apparently the usual cause is having content, pics, links, code, etc, in the post that are too wide for the space. If you have anything like that in your 2 posts try removing it and see if it makes a difference.

Don’t forget – “too wide for the space” doesn’t necessarily mean that, in IE, 500+50=550. IE’s notorious 3-pixel bug comes into play quite often.

Can you explain what you mean by this doodlebee? Thx.

Took out the width from a table and it fixed it.
