Yearly sitemaps uses too much memory and makes long queries, take 2

    Hi. So today I found out, that even if set split by month, yearly ones are still available and will be generated if someone goes to it directly. This causes rather big problem, because something is still trying to access them from time to time and that of course, as before causes it to run out of memory.

    So, questions:
    Is there any progress with what we discussed a year ago?
    Do you think it’d be a good idea to not generated yearly sitemaps if they’re not set in settings, even when someone tries to access them directly?
