Hi! The [order_year] prefix is always the date the order was placed (check the highlighted code here for reference). There is currently no built-in [invoice_year] prefix.

    Happy new year!

    Hi! happy new year!

But, this an error or not?

cause i have orders made it in 2015 but there are closed in 2016 so the invoice numbers of it are wrongs in my case.

i think thats the correct method for this will be [invoice_year] prefix to works correctly.

    regards!

    Hello Luis,
No, this is not an error, it outputs the year of the order, as one would expect from [order_year]. But I agree with you that an [invoice_year] prefix would be useful.
I have added it to the development version of the plugin, and this will be part of the next update (you could already install the development version if you need this now.

    Hope that helps!
