YD Recent Posts with thumbnails

This plugin when it renders, is fab and perfect for my magazine style layout on the home page.

One issue however, which is driving me Ka-bonkers [that’s “nuts” with bells on it]!

I would like that – this home page of my ezine begins some intro blurb describing the blog [logical huh?].

Then some key links below that point to imporatant pages.

THEN the contents of the YD Recent Post…..plugin shortcode as the last element on the layout[and yes I have tried HTML tables but then that creates a whole new can of whupass].

Now I place these elements [logically] and guess what? The plugin forces its contents to the top of the page, squeezing the Intro blurb towards the bottom of the page.

I get no help from the author [I’ve tried] and wonder if anyone knows of a way of resolving this, simply? I have trawled large parts of the WP real estate to find a simlar solution without success.
I have found a great widget [Recent Posts], but I need its equivalent for inserting into my page.

Like several other areas of the WP construct it is completely illogically applied [whilst the main principle is flippin brilliant].

The principal idea is to have an dynamically updating list of post excerpts.

Can anyone help please?
