How to explain the recent update of the YASR plugin to version 3.3.1 (premium) and the outgoing traffic that appeared? We’ve been testing all day today looking for a traffic problem on our website. We found that YASR after the update generates 5Mbps of constant outbound traffic instead of the standard 150Kbps.

We want to know what data your plugin is sending out and for what purpose?!

    Hello!

Due to forum rules, I cannot discuss premium features, but this may also apply to the free version.

There are no changes in the data collected between YASR 3.3.0 and 3.3.1, as you can see for yourself here: https://github.com/Dudo1985/Yet-Another-Stars-Rating/compare/v3.3.0…v3.3.1.

All the data collected by YASR is done through Freemius SDK, a service that I use. You can opt-out at any time by going to “Plugins” -> “Yet Another Stars Rating” -> “Opt out”.

I do not know why all that bandwidth is being used. It may have been a temporary issue, and I am not able to replicate it.

Can you please install the plugin snitch and post a screenshoot here?
This may help to find the culprit.

I can’t install unfamiliar plugins in production. I will also check the complete disabling of OPT-OUT.
Thanks for your support. I will be in touch with you should further assistance be required.
