• I created a website on a local host and uploaded it to a demo site hosted by my provider. Everything worked fine. The client has Yahoo Small Business for hosting which I have never worked with. When I uploaded the website I could only see the home page and every other page returned a 404 error. I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone with Yahoo Small Business and they say the problem is not with them. Their site requires an html extension on every page (which I did) and the directory name in the URL (which I did) but it still won’t work. I can see the pages and posts listed in the admin area but I get a 404 if I click on them to edit them. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

PS – I took down the WP site and put the old site back up so that the client has a functioning website. The site at the link above is not the site I am trying to upload.

I completely agree! I never would have chosen this host, but they don’t understand what I’m asking for when I ask for their domain info so I’m trying to make it work. I’m starting to think it would be easier to figure out how to access their domain account so that I can point it somewhere else. ?? Thank you.

Just in case you are still having issues with this. I just ran into the same problem. I fixed it by placing index.php/ in the permalink section.

For some reason, that stupid Yahoo hosting URL’s need to be: https://domainname/index.php/pagename

    Hope that helps.
