• I am looking at ways to make Contact Form 7 DMARC-compliant so forms will work with the apparently increasing number of companies like Yahoo that are using DMARC rules the block forms submitted using Yahoo email addresses in the “From” field.

    My workaround involves the following:

    1. In the Mail section for the form, put an email address from your domain in the From box so it looks like this:
      [first-name] [last-name] <[email protected]>
In this case, I’m using a forwarder called “noreply,” but it can be any legitimate forwarder or email account on the hosting domain.
    2. In the Additional Headers box for the form, put this in:
      Reply-To: [your-email]

What that should do is use an email based on the sending domain as the “from” address to make the email DMARC-compliant, but leave the user’s email in the header as a reply-to address so that you can click ‘Reply’ in your email client and reply to the inquiry easily.

  • booya, this works beautifully. thanks!
added benefit is that now the contact form emails dont hit my google spam folder too.

@linux4me2 – I’ve included your method in an article I’ve written at https://buzztone.com.au/yahoo-dmarc-issue/ to hopefully help others deal with this Yahoo DMARC issue.

    hi

thanks for all the info, it works !

i just have a little problem i dont know to fix it

im getting all forms emails into my gmail and i added to the aditional headers Reply-To: [your-email]

but once i get the emails and i click on reply it does not reply to the sender, it replys to myself as if i didnt set the Reply-To: [your-email]

    can you help please ?

    thanks

i figured out that was because gmail when you reply yo yourself does not apply the reply-to rule

so i just changed the sender to different email and now works !
