Yahoo and WordPress not verifying on Gravatar profile

  • Yahoo and WP are not verifying on Gravatar profile. I get error messages, which tell me:
    “Failed to locate XML-RPC API” for WP and
    “Could not verify Yahoo account” for Yahoo respectively.

    Am Administrator to my self-hosted website with WP download that uses latest WP version (so not an XML-issue!), and know my yahoo contact details – unsure how to activate and verify both of these on Gravatar.
