• I’m not setup yet, but I will be, I know I can import my Blogger blog, and my LiveJournal, but I was wondering if I could also import the few YACCS comments I have on my Blogger blog.

  • Because YACCS (and other third-party commenting services) technically aren’t a part of your blog, I don’t know that they can be imported. At least not smoothly. You’re basically exporting two separate sets of data: The Blogger content, and then the YACCS content. There would have to be an identifying tag for each Blogger post that matches with a tag in each YACCS comment box. I don’t think Blogger makes allowances for that.
I know HaloScan allows you to export/backup your comments, but I don’t know how that syncs with blog content.

each post does get a number, that’s how YACCS knows which comments to display. I asked because there is a script that makes it possible to import it with MT. The Blogger blog has to be imported first, then the script pulls the info from the exported comments and imports them, though I’m not quite sure how.
