G P, do you know whether you’ll be able to make this update to the plugin here in the repository? Sadly, it would seem the original developer has passed away. (https://am.memorial.pahlman.com/) I wonder how it works in situations like this? Can anyone else take up the maintenance of a plugin if they’re not one of the original developers/contributors?

Thank you @pessimisticoptimist for letting us know about the developer. May she rest in peace.

I’m getting this error message with PHP 7.4:

PHP Fatal error: ‘continue’ not in the ‘loop’ or ‘switch’ context in plugins/amr-shortcode-any-widget/amr-shortcode-any-widget.php on line 193

I’m afraid I only posted a fix for the current XSS Vulnerability problem. I use PHP 8.2.

And I don’t have any way to update the plugin for everyone. Best you can do is apply my patch.

Hello, here is some information that might be a solution for former users of the plugin:

In fact, it is possible to copy a widget block from the backend widgets view and paste it to any page or post in the block editor. It is no longer necessary to use a shortcode.

I don’t know if this works with all widgets, but it worked with all the ones I’ve tried.
