xmlrpc.php calling class-IXR.php (on case senstive os)

  • I was having problems activating Jetpack and based on the errors I was seeing, it appears xmlrpc.php was trying to load wp-includes/class-IXR.php but the file name was actually class-ixr.php – my sites run on *nix which are case sensitive. After I renamed class-ixr.php to class-IXR.php, I was able to activate Jetpack.

    In doing more research, it turned out to be the “quick install” process from my hosting provider. When I installed WP by downloading from www.remarpro.com, everything worked fine.
