Is anyone at Automattic working on the ability to rename xmlprc or a different way to allow communication so we can still use Jetpack’s features when host after host is now blocking access unilaterally?

    Thanks,

There aren’t any plans to rename or change the file in any way, but there are definitely ways hosts can prevent attacks using that file while still allowing access to it so users are able to take full advantage of Jetpack. For example, you could send your host our most recent post about how to use Jetpack to help in preventing these types of attacks: https://jetpack.me/2015/10/12/jetpack-protection-from-brute-force-xml-rpc-attacks/

Thanks for using our plugin, and have an awesome Thursday!
