Hi, my site was briefly running on SSL for a day or so but as a result of conflicts SSL has been removed and the site is once again accessible via http. However the xml sitempas still direct to https.

All https links in the database have been replaced, all references within WordPress have been changed. The only caching plugin I use has been flushed and switched off. Within the plugin the only reference to an url that I can see is for the upload of the logo, and I’ve updated this.

Is there somewhere else that Yoast could be drawing the old url from? I have uninstalled the plugin and re-installed but the problem remains.

  • One trick I use is to change the number of items in sitemap from 1,000 to 900; then revisit.

    Also
    a) resave permalinks
    b) clear all transients with wp-optimize plugin

    hope that helps!

Thank you, I’ve just tried visiting the permalink page and it’s worked. Yes!

yeah…. I do this with every Yoast update now, as general practice ??
