but this solution is not working if you dont have MANUALLY added any page here:
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=aioseo-sitemaps#/general-sitemap

is this correct ?

That’s correct (if you’re using a static page homepage), but we’ve fixed that in the next update which should go out next week if all goes well.
