    XML-RPC is an awesome internal tool (“internal” means it does not have any interface in WordPress), which can be used for 3rd party sites, apps and tools to control your WordPress site.

    So, if you don’t use the Jetpack plugin OR does not want to have any support for “trackbacks” in your blog, then its safe (and a good idea) to disable it by using our plugin.
