Hello, I installed Jetpack, and I already had Wordfence. Everything was working fine before, but since yesterday I’ve been getting the following message: “XML-RPC authentication is disabled. Jetpack is currently active and requires XML-RPC authentication to work correctly.”

When I uninstall Jetpack, the problem disappears, but I cannot configure the “Loging Security” page in Wordfence.

In summary, Jetpack is an extension that does not work properly.

Is there a solution to make the two work together, or should I get rid of the Jetpack extension?

    THANKS.

    Hi @rgi001,

Jetpack relies on the <mark>xml</mark>rpc.php file to connect with our systems. It looks like Wordfence is preventing Jetpack from connecting so I’d recommend the following:

    • Disable XML-RPC authentication
    • Allowlist Jetpack IPs per this guide.

Once this is done, please reinstall and reconnect Jetpack and let us know how it goes.

    Best!

    Hello there!

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
