XML-RPC and free WordPress blog

Hello,

I am planning to move over to WordPress and part of my preparation involves testing the ability to programmatically pull my blog info (rss feed) into my asp.net page. I signed up for a free account with wordpress and created some test posts, I can’t seem to get the c# wrapper to pull the info from the free blog account.

From reading online, it seems as though XML-RPC has to be enabled on the blog first. I can’t seem to find the option to do that (Writing section doesn’t have it). Where should I be looking? Can I do this without buying a hosted WordPress blog right away?
