XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity

I’ve used the google xml sitemaps plugin many times before and have not had any problem, haven’t encountered this error. I’ve found a few items through a search about removing blank lines. I can’t fix the empty lines in this sitemap.xml file because it doesn’t get generated. I don’t see the file on the server and I am not able to see it without this error message if I try to see it from the plugin settings. What could be causing this?
The site is republicofyoga.com. I took over the site from another developer, so don’t know if there are any other conflicting files.
