XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag???
-
I’m trying to publish a page on the WP 2.0.4. It is my first view of the 2.x version. For 2 days now I have been trying to add a long page of text to a new blank page I have created. But for some reason, whenever I have tried for instance to hit enter twice within the text (to see if I can get a double line or if it will autoformat it), I get a “XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected:
</p>
“-message instead. And here is the hard part:When I look at the editing window, the double linebreak will have autoformated itself out. But the error persists. Only by removing all formatting of indents and breaks in the entire document will it become workable again. So I have to start all over from the beginning, setting font sizes in the html source editor and things like that. Until I make some other mistake and it all goes away again and I have to start over yet again. I cannot find any errors to correct without removing everything!
This by the way, is when looking at the page itself, and not an rss feed of it. I have tried removing blank spaces in WP files and also disabling all plugins. What to do?
