XML parser not working (when I use Marsedit to edit my WP blog)

  • Sometimes I use Marsedit to write and edit posts. After upgrading to WP 2.2, I got this error message when I tried to pull up the latest blog posts (so I could edit them) on Marsedit:

    “Can’t do get recent posts for PJ Entrepreneur because the server reported an errorThe XML parser could not parse the data.: XML-RPC Response Parsing Failed.”

    This happened only after I upgraded to WP 2.2.

    I fixed this problem today. I deactivated a plugin called Secure and Accessible PHP contact form (v.2.0WP B20070414), now everything is working again. I see the Visual Editor and the quicktags.

    Note that this same plugin caused my Rich Visual Editor (and the quicktags) to stop working (see my earlier post on this forum).

    My suggestion: deactivate each plugin and test your site. See which one is getting in the way.
