XML not working

  • WordPress version: 3.5.1
    WordPress SEO version: 1.4.7

    Hello,

    My xml sitemap is not working. I don`t have a 404 page yet, but if you go to https://bestcydiathemes.com/sitemap_index.xml you will see that it just shows my index.

    It worked when I first installed this plugin, but since then 2 major changes happened:
    1) I updated to this version (few days ago)
    2) I made a 301 redirect from the www version to non-www in .htaccess using this:

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.bestcydiathemes\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*) https://bestcydiathemes.com/$1 [R=301,L]

    I have noticed yesterday in webmaster tools that the xml has an error. Any known bugs or problems with the 301 redirect or current plugin version xml?

  • I don’t know if this helps but I had problems because webmaster tools was showing an old static xml sitemap and I had to delete this and submit the sitemap_index_xml. I couldn’t get this to work until I added “index.php/” before “sitemap_index.xml”. So, in webmaster tools for your site try submitting “index.php/sitemap_index.xml”.

    The xml is not working on my website, webmaster tools is not a issue right now.
