xml is unreadable

    Hello,

    With the latest WP update to v5.5.3, my RSS Feed no longer is working, and get “The feed could not be loaded. the XML is unreadable”, it was functional and working prior to WP update.

    If I click on the link on my website for one to subscribe to the feed, it now just downloads some .rss file

    How do I remedy this? Thank you for your time and assistance,

    Well, that is odd, it is now working.

    I had it set up to only produce a feed creation for only portfolio post types – “/feed/?post_type=portfolio”, and all other types (posts, pages, media) disabled.

    I went in this morning, and uncheck-marked/disabled the Portfolio option, and check-marked/enabled a simple Post option, then went and created a test post, and all of the sudden my last portfolio post appeared in my feed, right along with the previous ones, and functioning as was before.

    So, I am just not going to touch anything, and leave it working.
