XML Import and Parent Page (post_page)

  • We are moving to WordPress as a CMS using mostly pages vs. posts. I have an xml file that I generated from our existing CMS and it works great except, although it indicate the IDs of the parent page, it imports everything as flat with no parent. The IDs are in our current CMS, and are numeric, but they start where they start, and some are in the thousands because of the size of the CMS. You can view the xml here:

    Any advice on how to import the page structure so people don’t have to move the pages around once they are in WordPress.

    NEVER MIND! I wasn’t importing the page IDs so it couldn’t find the parent IDs. Fixed now and very cool!
