XML Google Maps Plugin ….API key?

  • Hello, I am trying to embed google earth in one page (“the walk”) in my site https://www.outerregion.hackinghistory.ca. I have the kmz and kml files already in my editor.

    I installed this XML google maps plugin BECAUSE it is only one that mentions google earth. Now, the first thing I am told in ‘settings’ is I have to get API key, so when I go to page linking me I read “does not require api key any more”…but still need to give my plugin an API key…?

    SO the plugin creator says ask the community, as he is not answering questions, so I am asking if any have had same problem?? Many thanks if you can help ??

    Or is there a different way to do this altogether?
