The plugin is generating the file: uploads/pinterest-for-woocommerce-.xml

But Pinterest is looking for the file: uploads/pinterest-for-woocommerce-W1ejoN.xml

What is causing the difference between the filenames and how can I fix it?

Interestingly, it does look like it’s creating a file with the unique extension, its just the link from the UI that’s going to the file where it’s missing. I tried clearing out the file and recreating the feed and it happened again.

    Hi @marthabechtel

I understand the feed file URL is different from the one Pinterest is attempting to ingest.

To confirm, are you seeing an error or notice that suggests Pinterest is attempting to ingest a different URL? I’m asking as either format of the feed URL works and can be ingested by Pinterest. Please share a screenshot of what you see on your site dashboard in Marketing > Pinterest, and your Pinterest dashboard.

Also, please share your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Download for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please upload it to https://quickforget.com and share the link here.

When I go to Pinterest and click on Data Sources, and then on the name of the data source, and then on the Source URL that is where I am getting the uploads/pinterest-for-woocommerce-W1ejoN.xml from.

Yesterday I tried changing the name of the file on my website to match and it still couldn’t seem to find it.

Interestingly, when I checked this morning there is a second one listed and the one for today does link to the uploads/pinterest-for-woocommerce-.xml file. That file is still in Processing almost six hours later (not sure if that is normal?)

Remote sync status now shows:?“Automatically pulled by Pinterest?? ? ??Last pulled: 6 hours ago, containing 247 products”

So, did I just need to ignore the first failure and wait a day for it to generate the second file? Or did something happen between now and when I was trying yesterday that fixed things? ??

It takes 24 hours for Pinterest to pull the feed. This means that after setting up, you must wait 24 hours for the feed to be ingested by Pinterest. As a side note, the feed URL here is what Pinterest ingests: https://d.pr/i/ZxOGSE

I’m glad to hear it’s working as expected. I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to open a new thread if you need help with something else.
