XML error Mismatched tag

  • Since 3 weeks I have a problem when I try to update the syndicated feed.

    I always get the error

    https://www.website.com/external.php?type=RSS2 is invalid XML, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Mismatched tag at line 136, column 8

    I didn’t change anything in the feed or WordPress.

    Any ideas why the error occurs?
