    Interestingly when I posted from cnn (with its share of quotation marks), I see no validation errors. Is this a problem with slashdot’s encoding, wordpress or something I did in cutting and pasting it?

  • This shouldn’t have happened though coming from Slashdot’s page. See if you can recreate the problem. There was some code that checked for mad characters but it is currently being restructured as it was incredibly slow (it looped singly through every character of every post).
