    I thought I had replied to this a while back. Response never made it.

    The target=”_blank” was actually deprecated but then undeprecated in HTML5. XHTML is really been replaced by HTML5 with new devices and browsers.

    The problem with the javascript approach is that it won’t work with links that have onclick handlers already. so in that case then you’d fallback to the older way? Doesn’t seem that seamless of a solution.

    Ah, I didn’t know that about XHTML and HTML5. Of course, it might not be worth the effort, if XHTML is slowly fading as a standard anyways. Thanks for your feedback!
