Good evening and sorry, but I would like to understand why by default in the settings of the plugin the box related to the word “WordPress will automatically correct the incorrectly nested XHTML code” I do not have to check it and above all understand why and what it is for, thanks Vittorio

This is a setting in WordPress, not the plugin. It is for compatibility with the (very old) XHTML standard when you have posts published before it, i.e. 10 years ago and more. If you don’t have such posts you don’t need to check it.
