• I’ve loaded the XDForum plugin, I’ve posted twice to it, and it seems to be functional. The problem is… The 2 posts are down at the bottom of the screen in the forum. For example, there’s the title of the forum at the top of the page and then there’s all this white space that you have to scroll through to get to the 2 posts at the bottom of the page.

I want the postings to display always at the top of the page, and if someone responds to the post, there’s a little flag or plus sign that appears off to the left that people can click to expand the post to read responses to it. This is how *most* forums work. Does anyone know what file I need to modify (and how) to get the articles to appear at the top of the forum page? Also, is there a parameter that I can embed with the ‘bracket-bracket XDFORUM bracket-bracket’ code on the page to specify that the page load the forum with the URL pointing to the specific group in the forum?

My other option would be to use PHPBB (which I really like) but unfortunately, it wants its own separate database (independent of WordPress) and my web host provides me with only one database (unless I want to pay more).

    Thanks,

    Robin

  • Umm, this is NOT a WordPress related question though. Do they (the XDForum) people have a support forum or something?

Not trying to be mean or whatever.. just saying, we have enough normal WordPress related issues to handle, don’t need extra things to deal with yet too lmao!

    Ahem…

May be worth also asking over there, Robin.

Hahaha, thanks Kaf.. I thought I did have a link to there before, but with my hard drive crash a few weeks back.. I lost ALL of my stuff.. and haven’t really had the time to find necessary links again sigh.. Thanks again man.. I’ll bookmark it now.. ??

actually this isn’t an xdforum issue, its a wordpress theme issue. if the theme doesn’t handle having content in its content area that is 100% then it will push down on the page.

Thanks, xavic. That gave me a good idea where to look.
