xampp hosting and goddady hosting in dreamweaver

  • i am using godaddy.com unlimited hosting for my wordpress website and i have xampp setup also for local hosting. my question is…..is it necesary to to have xampp if i have hosting threw godaddy? and do i need xampp to view wordpress in live view to edit the theme or can i just use godaddys hosting? is the xampp hosting the same as godaddys hosting and do i need to use it if i have godaddy unlimited hosting?

  • Heres a very general outline of xampp and godaddy hosting.

    xampp is a web server package commonly used for developing your wordpress website on your local machine/PC, no one is able to see your site at this stage.

    Once you have finished developing your wordpress website on your local machine/PC then you upload the wordpress files to godaddy hosting. This means your website becomes live and others can see your website.

    Theres detailed steps involved and a quick google search will help, this is just a quick outline. hope it helps
