xampp and wp

  • Installing on xmapp and having trouble with wp-config.php file. It’s not recognized. I copied the wp-config.sample.php file. Then edited with gvim to add needed items.
    Created a wp database using phpmyadmin with user and all privilages.
    Everytime I start https://localhost/wp I get no wp-config.php file found.

    I have installed wp lots of times on Linux NO problems.
