    Hello

What does the x5 mean at the end of the textarea shortcode? The plugin seems to add this in automatically when creating a form which results in the texarea box not showing up in the front end form.

I figured a way of removing it by editing the forms HTML text but should this be happening?

Was also trying to set the size of the textarea along with the max length of the text but these additions don’t seem to work (taken from the CF7 website):

    size:40 maxlength:200

X5 is part of the cf7 plugin textarea tag attributes it refers to the numbers of rows your textarea should have.

The plugin by default sets up 5 rows

I doubt this is the reason your textarea are not showing up.
Do you have a js error in your console or a PHP error on the server side?

To control the width I would recommend you set up the size of your column and the plugin will ensure your field takes up 100% of its width.

This is recommended so that your field will respond to different screen widths
