X-defaults not sticking

Hi,
I am seeing a small issue. I can successfully add hreflang for EN and FR. If I add x-defaults it also takes it so I have three. However, if I then modify the page in anyway, it deletes the x-defaults.
To be clear – it seems that only the x-defaults doesn’t stick. If I have just the two hreflang tags EN, FR and modify the document then it keeps those two and doesn’t unstick one of them.
